One small thing Iโ€™ve found really helpful is using cardboard cutouts to keep spacing even in my projects. I have 2โ€ x 2โ€, 3โ€ x 3โ€, 4โ€ x 4โ€, and 5โ€ x 5โ€ squares that I use to measure the space between sections so everything looks balanced and consistent.

I use these for anything where spacing, shape, or size matters and I want exact measurements, whether itโ€™s my pipa knot, leaves, or any other part of a piece where consistency makes a difference. I follow the same simple process every time, just cutting the measurements I need out of cardboard or poster board.

Itโ€™s essentially free aside from the cardboard itself, and even that can come from something as simple as an old Amazon box. It saves time, keeps things consistent, and helps finished pieces look clean and intentional.
